Admission applications for the next Charlotte cohort is now open for Fall of 2009. Admissions will be in two segments:

  • Early admissions deadline has been set for November 1st, 2008. Notification of acceptance into the program for those that apply early will be by February 2009.
  • Regular admissions deadline has been set for February 1st, 2009. Students in regular admissions will hear a decision by April 2009. Classes for cohort will begin in August, 2009.
  • Future cohorts - The department faculty will reassess the offering of a third cohort in 2011 for a start-up in 2013. There will not be discussion of admissions to that third cohort faculty consultation in 2011.

Applicants must apply through the North Carolina State University Graduate School Admissions Website http://www2.acs.ncsu.edu/grad/applygrad.htm. The following procedures will be required:

  • Complete the Apply Yourself admissions form online, including a personal statement of goals for seeking a doctoral programs and participation in this executive cohort program. In addition, all applicants must provide a processing fee to the Graduate School.
  • Submit a transcript from all previous undergraduate and master’s coursework, documenting successful academic performance.
  • Submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores, taken within the last five years, that document scores (verbal, quantitative, & analytic writing) at or above the 45th percentile.
  • Resume and three references (preferably uploaded online where the personal statement of goals is provided on the Apply Yourself module.
  • On-line North Carolina Residency Form if claiming NC residence for tuition purposes.
